Who it's for
Nurses, allied-health professionals, ward and clinic staff, quality coordinators and supervisors who want to lead small, safe improvements in their own clinical area with method rather than guesswork.
What you'll master
Run a small clinical improvement with the full DMAIC framework.
Translate the patient’s Voice of Customer into Critical-to-Quality requirements.
Map a care pathway with SIPOC and swimlanes to expose delays and handoff risk.
Measure with check sheets and Pareto charts using routine clinical data.
Find root causes of delay, error and harm with fishbone diagrams and 5-Whys.
Sustain the gain with standard work, visual management and a control plan.
The curriculum
| Define | Patient VOC → CTQ, a clinical problem & goal statement, SIPOC and a one-page charter. |
| Measure | Data in care settings, check sheets, baseline performance without breaching privacy. |
| Analyze | Pareto, fishbone and 5-Whys applied to delays, incidents and near-misses. |
| Improve | Flow, 5S, standard work and PDCA in a live clinical area. |
| Control | Visual management, response plans and a control plan the team will actually keep. |
| Capstone | A clinical Mini-A3 telling the whole story from problem to sustained result. |

Assessment
