Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Lead the project. Prove the impact. Measure the dignity.

The project-leadership belt. You lead a real, medium-complexity DMAIC project end to end — from a signed charter to a sustained control plan — supported by coaching at every tollgate. Built on the MIT LAI enterprise model, it measures human impact with the same rigour as financial gain.

Who it's for

Engineers, supervisors, service and operations managers, analysts, improvement leads and healthcare or public-sector leaders who are ready to own a data-driven improvement project and facilitate a cross-functional team.

What you'll master

1

Charter and lead a medium-complexity DMAIC project aligned to CTQs and Voice of Customer.

2

Build a data plan, validate measurement systems (Gage R&R, attribute agreement) and compute baseline capability.

3

Analyse variation with hypothesis tests, regression, ANOVA and the basics of Design of Experiments.

4

Redesign flow with Lean tools — 5S, SMED, Kanban / pull and poka-yoke — and pilot the change.

5

Establish control with SPC charts, a control plan, standard work and visual management.

6

Report results in operational, financial and dignity metrics, and hand over to process owners.

The curriculum

BC1 — Define & LeadVOC→CTQ, SIPOC, project charter, RACI, current-state VSM and team facilitation.
BC2 — MeasureMSA (Gage R&R / Kappa), sampling and data plans, capability (Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk), baseline sigma.
BC3 — AnalyzeHypothesis tests, correlation and regression, non-normal strategies, screening DOE.
BC4 — ImproveFuture-state VSM, FMEA, Lean flow redesign, pilot design and change acceleration.
BC5 — ControlControl-chart selection, control plan, standard work, benefits tracking and governance.
CapstoneStorytelling, oral defence and a 30-60-90 sustain plan.

You'll walk away with

A signed charter, current- and future-state VSM, MSA and capability reports

An analysis workbook, FMEA excerpt, before/after pilot results and an approved control plan

An A3 storyboard and a live project defence

Assessment

A knowledge exam (80–120 items, pass ≥ 70%), competency caselets mapped to RS6392 / ECLEE blocks BC1–BC5, and a real DMAIC project with measurable impact defended orally (15–20 min).

Credential

ECLEE Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) — structured as capitalisable, RNCP-style competency blocks that can be embedded in a registered title.
